Book Smart-Look Smart: It's Back to School Time at X-Wear

Perhaps no three words in the English dictionary incite fear among kids and excitement among parents than these ones: BACK TO SCHOOL.

Okay, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration, but as we inch closer to September, there is a sense of anticipation for the unknown. It is a little scary and slightly thrilling.

While you can never be sure how the transition from summer vacation to the start of the school year will go, there are ways to ensure it’s not so daunting while having some fun in the process.

The best place to start is making a checklist of all the things your son or daughter will need.

At X-Wear, we have a great collection of backpacks, ideal for those in junior high, high school and college. We have hip ones, fashionable ones and practical ones that will keep your books, laptops and tablets dry.

Speaking of tablets, you’ll want to check out our padded sleeve that’ll protect your iPad on its journeys to and from school.

Of course, no checklist is complete without new clothes, including belts (click here) and socks. Okay, socks may not sound cool, but the ones we carry (Stance) are. You can find them here.

Now is where the real fun begins. If you want your child to really get excited for the start of school, consider a new pair of headphones. We carry everything from noise-cancelling ones to barely noticeable earbuds with some funky designs.

So what are you waiting for? Start shopping. It’s almost time to go BACK TO SCHOOL (sorry, we had to)!

Because we know this time of year can be a little stressful and somewhat costly, we’re offering a 20% discount on these items through Labor Day (Monday, September 7). Just use the code BTS15 when checking out. And if you happen to be on Cape Cod, check out our Board Stiff Falmouth and Board Stiff Provincetown stores where we’ll be having Back to School sales over the next few weeks!
