Have a Heart...Change A Life

February “HAVE A HEART…Change a Life Campaign”.

The month of February is equated with the heart. Between Valentine’s day and the American Heart Association kicking off their annual campaign to educate people about heart disease, its prevention and cures…hearts are prevalent everywhere.

Hearts represent love…hearts represent caring...Hearts are life-giving

We’re offering you an opportunity to show your big heart and help to change a life.

Here are three of our partners who have GREAT BIG HEARTS!  They each have unique campaigns where a portion of their profits go to some pretty fabulous foundations!

We’d like to encourage you to “Have a Heart” and buy something from these wonderful organizations to help support their causes.  In doing so you will be helping to change a life

In addition…when you make that purchase, X-Wear.com will ALSO send them $2 for each purchase YOU make.

Let’s start with the well-known TOMS.

"I was so overwhelmed by the spirit of the South American people, especially those who had so little, and I was instantly struck with the desire – the responsibility – to do more."

– Blake Mycoskie

In 2006, Blake Mycoskie traveled to a village in Argentina and found that the children had no shoes. Instead of, like most of us would have, going home with a sad story to tell everyone, he created TOMS. His vision for his  One for One® program was that he would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need.  As of 2013 TOMS has given 10 million pairs of free shoes. Since the shoes were such a success, in 2011 he decided to develop a new program revolving around Eyewear.  This program has provided prescription glasses, medical treatment and/or sight-saving surgery with each purchase of eyewear.  GET YOUR OWN PAIR OF TOMS SUNGLASSES HERE

Lastly we present Krochet Kidz International.

“We define impact as the proven change that occurs in a person’s life that is the result of the services we provide.” - Kohl Crecelius

Who doesn’t love a knit cap?  High school friends, Stewart Ramsey and Kohl Crecelius from Spokane WA learned how to crochet and began getting attention from others about their unique and custom-made crocheted caps.  A local newspaper dubbed them the “Krochet Kids” and a movement was born.  Krochet Kidz Intl. has continued to grow and evolve to a point where they earned non-profit status in January 2008. They listened to the women of Uganda and Peru say that they didn’t want aid anymore; they wanted a way to break the cycle of poverty for their families. Stew and Kohl taught them how to crochet and not only gave them a way to make a living but gave them hope for the future of their families. The production of every product... NO EXCEPTIONS… offers jobs, education, and mentorship to impoverished individuals. Your purchase connects you with the maker through a hand-signed label.  “Buy a Hat, Change a Life”  GET A NEW CROCHETED HAT OR BEANIE NOW AND CHANGE A LIFE!
