High school friends, Stewart Ramsey and Kohl Crecelius from Spokane WA learned how to crochet and began getting attention from others about their unique and custom-made crocheted caps. A local newspaper dubbed them the “Krochet Kids” and a movement was born. Krochet Kidz Intl. has continued to grow and evolve to a point where they earned non-profit status in January 2008. They listened to the women of Uganda and Peru say that they didn’t want aid anymore; they wanted a way to break the cycle of poverty for their families.
