Summer Fun on X-Wear

Okay, we admit it. Nothing gets us more excited than catching a barrel while surfing the National Seashore. Or landing a hospital flip while cruising the streets of Pacific Beach. Or waking up to the sun rise following a long day’s hike in Yellowstone.

So yeah, the X in X-Wear stands for eXtreme. But we understand that not everyone is up for such adventure. Some people prefer life a little calmer: reading a good book at the ocean’s edge, playing a game of beach volleyball or a simple game of catch in the water.

Here’s a few suggestions on how to keep active while enjoying the outdoors the rest of the summer:

  • Frisbee – Whether on the beach or in the water, this is a great way to burn some calories while partaking in an activity that even kids can enjoy. If you’re serious, step it up a notch and find a local beach ultimate league near you (WARNING: It can get pretty intense).

  • Ultimate Waboba – Using our Pro Ball (yes, it really bounces on water), split up into teams (2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3, etc.). The object is to get the ball to each team member without interruption. Each time that happens, your team gets a point. First team to 3 wins. Increase the difficulty by adding a five-second time limit for each pass.
  • Walk the Beach – Put on your headphones, crank your favorite playlist and enjoy the water gently lapping against your feet as you explore the beach, walking one end to the other.
  • Read an eBook – Just because you’re at the beach doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your favorite book on your Kindle or iPad. All you need is this waterproof tablet case. And if you need some help choosing between squinting in the sun and being able to read at the beach, you’ll want to check out our fashionable sunglass readers.

If you’re planning on one (why not make it two?!) last trip to the beach, take a look at our line of footwear and polarized sunglasses that are ideal for the dog days of summer.

Because we want you to make the most of these next few weeks, we’re offering a 20 percent discount on all the aforementioned items through the end of August. Make sure to use the code AU2015. And if you need some more ideas for making this a summer to remember, click this link.
