What We Love About Our GoPro

By now, most of us have handled or been in front of a GoPro camera. GoPros are all about taking you into a moment in time. Known for action shots, storytelling, and time-lapses, GoPros are used by adventurers and vloggers alike. We’ve been playing around with our HERO5 Black lately and wanted to share what we love about our action camera go-to. 

Siri, is that you?

One of the coolest features of the HERO5 and beyond is the voice-controlled digital assistant. Chances are if you’re using a GoPro, you’ll need both hands free during your shot. Being able to quickly say things like “GoPro, start recording” or “GoPro, turn off” saves you time in the moment and during post-production editing. When you’re in the moment, voice control is the easiest way to control your camera and supports seven languages. Hands-free, fun, liberating.

Take it underwater- it’s waterproof!

Gone is the waterproof cases of years past. HERO5 and beyond have waterproof casings meaning all you have to do is grab and go. Enjoy up to 33ft (10M) water submersion, letting you capture all the mysteries that lie beneath the sea. We love the spontaneity that allows us to take our GoPro wherever we are.

Image Stabilization

One of our favorite features, image stabilization, gives you that professional look to every single video you capture. Have the freedom of capturing the world as you see it, without the vibrations and jerkiness you get when filming on the move. Videos appear to be more dreamlike, letting you watch it back and experience the moment just as you remember.

We'll be the first to admit, GoPros are not known for having the best audio recording quality. In the past couple years though, that’s changed. If you have a HERO5 or newer, you can enjoy crisp sound without muffling. Three microphones help determine which is best to use in any particular moment, giving you a superb audio experience that matches the high definition video recording.

When you subscribe to GoPro Plus, GoPro's subscription service, you can have ease of mind knowing your GoPro footage is being automatically uploaded to the cloud. Also, make sure you download the latest version of the GoPro app for your mobile device. Create a QuikStory by doing quick video edits and adding music or text to your footage, then share instantly with your friends for the ultimate on-the-go moments.
